What do y'all use for engine stands??? / bracket??? I like the one from VW alley but can't seem to find any source. Seen some nice ones for $600 bucks but that's not in the budget. The 2 eared ones don't seem they would provide enough support. Thanks for the help.

Mine is heavy, I asked Jerry Woods 20 years ago at his engine building class if I could copy his engine stand. He told me to go ahead. So I'll share this again if anyone wants to have a good one welded up. I had three made back then. This will easily hold a 930 turbo engine. Mark E. share this with your fab guy he might want to use a few ideas. Best, Mark

My cheapie HF works for a /4, but not for my fresh /6. With a 20k investment why chance it. Looks simple to weld up, looks like a few hours. or, the HF stand for a hundred bucks looks substantial |
