I was watching a special on the development of the V-Rod and heard that the engine was developed jointly by HD and Porsche and was even tested on dynos at the Porsche facilities in Germany.. I know the Vrod has been out for awhile I just didn't catch it the first time I saw the special. A two wheel Porsche maybe, but its water cooled.

What does the V-rod gain from having the motor massaged by Porsche? Reliability, Horsepower, Torque. No leaks.
Plus that virtual road (dyno test) that was run on the motor to prove it could run with the big dogs any day anywhere. How many times did it fail before them Germans had breathed on almost every part of the motor? |
