I plan on using a BMW rear view mirror for my project. I remember reading the various threads about it in the past.
I don't see the add of the Ebay supplier on these. I believe Dr. Evil had stopped making those and Lotus 65 was taking over but it seem Lotus hasn't been active since 2020. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Anyone has any info on this? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

Here is one. The idea is to take an 80's E30 rear view mirror, modify it, and mount it where the sun visors center mount goes. The sun visors are then pinned in the rear view mirror arm. Prevents from having the rear view mirror bonded to the windshield.
Also, if you have more budget, you can find the $250-300 E30 rear view mirror with the integrated MAP lights (look them up on Ebay). http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...mp;#entry638496 |
