Hello out there....so I am about to install a brand new Gemo speedometer cable....should I lubricate it? I have concocted my own graphite and rubbing alcohol solution that seems to be working great on my pedal cluster.....I now think grease = grit so I am using dry lube as much as possible....do tell? Thank you very much,

I have heard of using graphite on speedo cables. I was told clean with alcohol and lube with graphite. Can your mixture leave enough graphite behind?
