I figure some here will have more info on this, but Wilwood is advertising it has a big brake available for 914-4s. Just in case anyone would be interested. I haven’t even looked it up yet, but seen the ad in Excellence.

I got approval from the Wilwood guy to post his email:
"When we placed the ad in Excellence, we thought we would be ready to sell them on January 1st. However, there has been a delay, and we won’t have all the parts ready for another few months. I can tell you, we will have kits for all four bolt hub Porsche 914s, 1970-1976. The front kit includes our own forged aluminum hub, four piston Powerlite caliper, and 11.38” (269mm) x .81” (20mm) vented rotors. The rear uses the factory hub, but is a two piece vented rotor (the same size as the front) with an aluminum mounting hat. The rear Powerlite has pistons sized for proper brake bias, and the kit includes a mechanical parking brake caliper. Our full range of street and racing pad compounds will be available. ... we have two different part numbers for the front, I assume to account for the different offset. I think they are sized to fit in a 15” wheel. You can share the info I gave you and that they are coming by spring. I just don’t have pricing or an ETA yet." |

Wonder if they can do custom calipers? Gold-ish would be cool as nod to the original cad. |
