Watched “Combat” with Vic Morrow as a child, “Maverick” later one, and “The Wild Wild West” with Robert Conrad at our frat house in college (no TVs in the dorms or apartments). No cars or short skirts, though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Once we finish Hotel Portofino series, will check out Rockford Files. Wonder if Maverick is still available to view. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Vic Morrow ('Combat actor Sgt. Saunders) connection to 914s; in 1982, his estate wound up selling his 1975 Palma Green metallic to Jack's Wholesale Div. auto sales; which was the Lot located in front of my shop at 9063 W. Washington Bl. Culver City, CA. They offered it to me for $5,500 and stated it had Celebrity status>> too much for it. Though I did sort some problems out on the car for them ! I already had been driving my 1974, that I purchased 8 years prior from Downtown L.A. P+A. The salesman Heinz Brinkmann told me that he was a TV actor on the TV show 'Combat. He says that he was cast as a German soldier , and said depending on the episode...he appeared every 2nd or 4th week so none of the viewers would notice that he was eliminated in previous episodes (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) He also owned a very tasty German deli/ bakery on the Redondo Beach pier back then. I'm sure that Vic got a great Deal from Heinz on his '75 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/marty914.jpg) |
