Yes, one thing that i didn't like about the last WCR in Tahoe was the fact that there was no designated area in the parking lot/garage for us to hang out.
There was zero activity around the cars besides driving.

In that past, arguably the best part about the WCR has always been hanging out in the parking lot, having a beer and talking cars.

I miss the good old days when we used to have makeshift barbecues and RV booze catering for these events.
