I bought two different kinds of door contact switches, based on what is listed in the PET catalogue. Then when I pulled the broken switch out of my door jamb, it was of the 4-pole variety, which is not listed in the PET at all.
I have not been able to find this part anywhere online, not even a proper part number other than the "8842 K" that is molded into the plastic. Does anyone sell these? Or is there a good way of wiring a replacement switch that preserves the buzzer circuit? Or will I just have to disconnect that and wire with the later year 2-pole + ground switch? This is the relevant section of the wiring diagram (1972), in case anyone is wondering: ![]() Any help would be much appreciated! |
