I love this pic because no matter what he did, built the world's greatest car company, at the end of the day, he was just a dad.

would have been poor as church mice at that time just post WW2.
the old man looks a bit gaunt and half starved.
tough times.

the reconstruction of (west) germany is one hell of a story.
my business partners father was a child in germany at that time.
he tells some pretty sobering stories about what it was like.
he did not have a father still around.
killed in the war.
