Boxster "S" 6 speed trans Options

The Boxster "S" 6 speed trans, that is used with the LS3 engine. Are all of the transaxles geared differently, or all the same?


Is anyone else running the Boxster "S" 6 speed, with an LS engine?

@tygaboy that is nice solution that I hadn’t even considered yet! Did you run the car with these? Are you not using them anymore, or are you offering to make a 2nd set? I think my current plan is to build a secondary bracket that attaches to the rear of the trans and wraps around to mate with the Renegade chassis mounting ears. I’ll fab new chassis attachment points on the secondary bracket where I need them to be located. My concern is the changed location/angle of the renegade axles.

Edit: I just got this response from the Renegade team:

I believe you will find the position of the Boxster S transaxle in the 914 when using our LS V8 conversion kit rear transmission bracket, positions the transaxle rearward of the center line of the rear hubs. So, in theory, moving the transaxle forward with some slight mods to our bracket, would be possible and likely advantageous to your project. Go for it!
