On a somewhat related note. If you no longer have a rear trunk release button and use only a cable release, then the cable breaks. Can you take the hinges off so you can get to the latch with a set of extensions to remove the bolts so you can remove the trunk lid and fix the problem? Asking for a friend.
We've done this before a long time ago by pushing in one of the plastic cups and using a bunch of extensions. It seems like it might be easier to take the fasteners off the hinges and then hold the front part of the trunk lid open to get at the latch. Ideas? |
