Have any of you separated the rubber boot from this collar piece? This is the CV joint boot, and I want to replace it, but I don't want to damage getting it off. It looks to be crimped on, and I did find this : http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=366077
But it seems to be about 914-6s, not the 4s

I dont think the boots you have will fit the flanges with crimped on boots. Are the old boots cracked or ripped? I nay have some extra flanges. They may sell new flanges that will work with those boots.
