Any tips for cleaning possibly etched windshield glass? I tried the usual glass cleaner and rags, no luck. Not sure how deep it goes or if it is just hard water spots.

They can be polished out. I went and looked, there are windshield "chip repair" companies. People saying "It looks brand new" . Cerium Oxide as mentioned above was what glass companies used to polish the edges of architectural glass I used to install. It comes out nice
