Any tips for cleaning possibly etched windshield glass? I tried the usual glass cleaner and rags, no luck. Not sure how deep it goes or if it is just hard water spots.

With anything like this you need to grind the plane of the surface below that of the scratch depth. I have had great luck with the cerium oxide kits. They make a mess and polish the glass. But that is for light work, like polishing away haze from etching. You might be able to approach this with diamond grits of varying grades if the scratches are pretty deep. On your own with that approach I am afraid. |
