I moved this from the Paddock, thought I put it here. Because the port is almost straight, with little long side short side turns, with what there is , do you find it necessary to slow the flow down on the “short side” to get good flow out of the valve. I was reading about something mepstein posted a picture of. Small divots, like a golf ball. So I’m going to do that on the long side, just wondering if there is any reason not to also do it on the short side. Thanks guy’s smile.gif

I was thinking about what that guy was saying about the dimples in a tube and only needing the dimples at the source of the flow. That would not be the port, that would be the manifold under the carb. It also makes a turn at the manifold/head transition. Hmmmm

Hmmmm Better dimple those velocity stacks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Only way to know for sure is flow bench. I can see a project in your future (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Still haven’t made it to storage - haven’t forgotten to get you photos of HAM head. |

Hahaha, I may have to. I saw a reference to a video DIY building a FB using a shop vac. I have soooo much work to do on the tub, I may as well. Thanks for remembering the photos, no reason to reinvent the wheel. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
