My 19mm raised spindles also have raised brake line brackets that are crashing into the strut dust caps. Do the dust covers need to be shortened or just take off.. This is street legal but mostly a track and DE car. Thanks

So when you replace a steel trailing arm with an aluminum one on a LWB 911, you have to leave off the dust cap (cylinder) or it will hit the chassis. Unless the car is a daily driver, it’s not an issue. Might it wear out sooner than one with a dust cap, maybe but that’s not usually a concern on play cars.
