My 914 has a 911 front suspension but I don't know what year/model they are off of.
The struts are marked Boge and have the part numbers 911 341 041 00 and 911 341 042 02 for the driver and passenger side respectively. Any idea what year 911 these are from? One clue, they take alloy 's' calipers with the 3.5" spacing. Thanks! |

Mid to late 70's was when Boge started to make the 3.5". BUT, its hard to tell which year because Porsche did a lot of different options (manufacture; Koni, Bilstein, Boge), and Bilstein was huge during the SC years. Carreras from 84-89 got alot of Boge's, and in mid 86 all struts changed from internal threads to external threads for the top cap that holds the strut in the housing.
Plus, who knows who owned your suspension before you got your hands on it... Ya they're both Boge, but one might have been replaced due to an overly aggresive curb attack.. |
