Looking for input.
Found rust inside my gas tank and curious what people use to clean and seal. I purchased evaporust and am going to use that after a good washout. What have you used that worked well? Also, aside from POR 15 fuel tank sealer what products have you used that you thought worked well or found not to? Lastly, sealer recommendation, rust removal tactics and quantity of sealant needed to coat a 914 tank. Thank you very much for any advice/input. Brett |

The tank has been modified for my LS3 with an internal Walbro fuel pump. Some cutting and welding was involved so would prefer to not purchase a new tank. The exterior is in great shape but there is a rust layer and fine rust particles in the bottom which plugged the fuel filter sock which bypassed and degraded pump output. I think it should clean up. Sooooo…. The consensus is that I should NOT seal it?. Thanks again. |
