Looking for input.

Found rust inside my gas tank and curious what people use to clean and seal.

I purchased evaporust and am going to use that after a good washout. What have you used that worked well?

Also, aside from POR 15 fuel tank sealer what products have you used that you thought worked well or found not to?

Lastly, sealer recommendation, rust removal tactics and quantity of sealant needed to coat a 914 tank.

Thank you very much for any advice/input.

Brett

I did purchase my tank over a year ago and shipping has changed dramatically.

I'm now a tiny bit worried as I didn't verify exactly if it was the same as my late car.
The part# was correct but sometimes that doesn't mean shit.

Thanks DC!
I will be checking it now

Now the posts about using a battery charger and the "washing soda" impressed the hell out of me. That way appears to deliver the single nicest "finish" I've seen a DIY process achieve.

I will be trying that on my $$$ Z car tanks.

I'll treat the inside with Metal Ready as well.

Increased my vocabulary!

"Washing" soda...
