Looking for input.
Found rust inside my gas tank and curious what people use to clean and seal. I purchased evaporust and am going to use that after a good washout. What have you used that worked well? Also, aside from POR 15 fuel tank sealer what products have you used that you thought worked well or found not to? Lastly, sealer recommendation, rust removal tactics and quantity of sealant needed to coat a 914 tank. Thank you very much for any advice/input. Brett |

I have used Muriatic Acid with great success. It works quite fast. After the acid wash rinse with a baking soda water solution then with clear water. It's best if you can use compressed air to dry it out, then asap fill it with gas. If you aren't putting it back in the car right away, plug the line holes, put about a gallon of gas in it, swish it around real good, and make sure it is all sealed up. When you are ready to put it back into the car, empty the gas, put it in and then fill it up with gas.8
