I'm wanting to replace my metal hood and rear deck with Balsa wood reinforced fiberglass units. If you have pictures can you please post them. Thanks inadvance.

As I watched this video I couldn't help but notice the surface condition as the GT hood
was opened.'

Bernie told me that several people have told him they could sand the hood so you couldn’t see the fiberglass texture. He said that was the way Porsche made it and he was keeping it that way

It's easy to forget that back in the day the factory race program did not give a rats ass about showing those cars at a concours or in a museum.

Many of the original parts have a rather rough finish and often don't fit/align well.

Factory pieces are thin, body shop wanted to flatten mine also.. No just scuff and paint... Getty ones are a bit thicker and are flatter for paint..
