Where is the best place or who is the recommended supplier to get a new muffler for my car.
I have take off the Monza muffler that I found ugly and that started to break and would like to go back to a more original muffler. The engine in the car is a 1.8L and the heat exchangers are SS and seem to fit the exchangers that were fitted on 2.0L engine (looking at the image found at page 19 of DR914 Tech tips book). The heat exchanger I have do not have the rise at the back of the exhaust tubes. Anyway, I would like to know your recommendation as to where to go to get the best advice and the best supply for a new muffler. Thanks in advance. |

https://store.vintagespeed.com.tw/914-2-0L-...stem-p180686506 is a nice alternative. I've got the 1.7 muffler and it sounds great. The factory Dansk mufflers are also a great alternative but you can't go wrong for a few bucks more for stainless.
But then again, most folks don't use 914's as daily drivers so steel will last a very long time. It basically comes down to budget. Chris |
