Hello 914 World! I am happy to say hello and introduce myself to the 914 World, as I recently became the owner of a '73 914 6 conversion that I found here in the classifieds. It's an original 2.0l car and I have the numbers matching motor in storage. In it's place is a 3.0l out of a '79 911 SC. The car was 95% done and now is a driver and on the streets while I sort out some known and some unknown issues. One of which is I don't have a parking brake any longer due to the installation of some beautiful, updated brake calipers from a Boxter/Cayman and 911 rotors. I have talked to Patrick Motorsports and a few local Bay Area Porsche experts and nobody has an easy or $ reasonable alternative. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

I have found the Wilwood Rear Brake kit for $3k. I have also found the option to go with OEM 914-6 rear brakes, which is also cost prohibitive. I really don't want to go backwards which is why I am asking all of you for some help.

Much thanks!

Call PMB performance. Basically you need a 911 e brake shoe setup and the tangerine racing cable kit. Mine was a total PIA based on the fact parts are hard to find and getting the right ones is even more challenging.
