Picked up a 76 out of texas that had been converted to single carb that just doesn't run very well. I decided to convert back to original FI, essentially everything is gone and I am working on understanding the system. I guess my first question is where does the fuel pump draw power from? there is a single black wire underneath the fuel tank that has no power to it but all the relays have been removed and Im waiting on those from pelican

When I first assembled my motor I followed this diagram .Since I did not disassemble the motor and was a newby I thought this diagram was correct for all cars 74-76 and I bought a anti-flashback valve from Bruce .I later found out from someone that a 76 did not use the anti-flashback ,however my valve covers have 13mm hose connections on them . I was not sure the what the valve covers should be connected to so the valve covers are open to air now . In this diagram they show connection between the anti-flashback and the valve covers . Do I need to remove those covers and purchase ones without holes ?
