Picked up a 76 out of texas that had been converted to single carb that just doesn't run very well. I decided to convert back to original FI, essentially everything is gone and I am working on understanding the system. I guess my first question is where does the fuel pump draw power from? there is a single black wire underneath the fuel tank that has no power to it but all the relays have been removed and Im waiting on those from pelican

They were always trying different things to handle deceleration. Ljet had a fuel cutout (I think, it's probably just a feature considering how it works), I think I remember discussions about alternatives to the decel valve. Such a late model might have had such a thing. I believe the retard also helped with emissions on decel.
I would make doubly sure everything is to 76 speck with those hoses. That right front side of plenum and the passenger side facing portion of the air box changed quite a bit late 74 and probably even more by 76. |

I know ,My air cleaner/Plenum looks a bit different than anything I have seen on this site , there only about 4070 76 models produced and how many of them were USA models vs California models ,then how many of those are still around . I agree I don't want to get a fail after the cars last smog check in 2018 . 2025 makes 7 years it has not been smogged it might be a flag in the system .I registered and transferred the title in my name on August 2023. It took a while to find a smog pump and I have been working on the high idle since . |
