1976 fuel injection questions Options

Picked up a 76 out of texas that had been converted to single carb that just doesn't run very well. I decided to convert back to original FI, essentially everything is gone and I am working on understanding the system. I guess my first question is where does the fuel pump draw power from? there is a single black wire underneath the fuel tank that has no power to it but all the relays have been removed and Im waiting on those from pelican

Yes, probably a good idea. But you know now that they don't go to the air cleaner right? Retard goes to the posterior of the tb, your advance just lays there on top of the engine.

If you look at the legend and compare to the drawing I added something is backwards and this might be my issue . It looks to me like this drawing and legend do not match ?

Am I wrong in the way I interpreted this drawing ?legend ?

ID hose#11 says its retard and # 10 says advance

To me it looks like I need to swap those and leave the retard exposed to ambient air

Which side of my distributor is the advance ?

I'm a bit confused
