Looking for the front fuel line grommet for my 1970.. Somehow misplaced mine and I can't seem to find one new.. It is the one with openings for both fuel lines to go through.
part no. 91435654300 also labeled 25/1 on a few diagrams I have seen. Thanks |

Its the same grommet used for the plastic brake pipes VW# 111 957 861 I don't believe it changed to the large single grommet until late 74 possibly 75 when the pump got moved up front. This is on an early 914-6 for reference 1970 914 6 2567 Unmolested 914 6 two grommets I can't imagine there would be a difference between 4 and 6 cyl. in this area. I've seen something in two original 6 cars that would be unthinkable today. NO hose clamps As seen in this photo and observed in 914 6 # 1467 I owned both cars and was the first to remove the gas tank in both cars. Also, amazingly no hose clamps at the fuel pump connections either. Attached thumbnail(s) |

I was searching through my boxes of salvage looking for this. My car is a six, and the PET shows it using the late grommet with the two holes. I thought I’d lost it. Looking at the bulkhead under the tank it clearly has the two smaller holes, so the PET is wrong.
I really appreciate this thread, I could have gone down a rabbit hole on this one. |

Hey Guy The parts diagram shown appears to be a bit of a composite. The upper section is clearly 914 6 with no fuel filter and no return from the carbs but curiously shows the double grommit up front. What it does appear to show is no hose clamps (on a 6) except after the pump to the carbs. I do not recommend this, it is just an observation and very curious. Rory rgalla9146@aol.com |
