Hello,
I'm ordering parts to install a complete '74 style exhaust in my (new to me) '76 914 2.0. I see that the part number for the heater cable that goes from the floor lever to the valves/flappers is different for the '75+ cars. Does anyone know why that would be? Are the heater valves in a slightly different location on the '75/76 cars, resulting in different cable lengths? Or is there something different about the hand lever that requires a different cable? My car currently has no heat (and no cable), so I need to purchase a new cable regardless, I just need to know which one. Part numbers: -74: 914-424-075-01 75-: 914-424-075-03 Thanks for any info. |

My experience when I backdated was that I was able to use the cables on my late car after backdating, but they were just barely long enough.
