I need an ECU for a 73 2.0. I believe this is number 0 280 000 037.

I have a '73 2.0 as well. I try to keep an eye out for backup fuel injection parts since it's a year that doesn't have many interchangeable FI parts with other years. I already have a backup ECU on the shelf. But I saw a few on eBay recently (wouldn't hurt to make them an offer of what you think is fair - you have nothing to lose):

Remanufactured for $1,095 here

New old stock for $950 OBO here

There are also several used listing by sellers who offer returns if the part doesn't work.
