After last post where I asked if I should pull the tank given all the new hoses I put in in the back, I am pretty surprised at how clean it is!!
But, I spot a few issues. Obviously fuel clamp is doing nothing. That line appears older/unreplaced. And, the line was crimped under the tank on that ridge. I could sort of tell that from above, but it’s worse.
See anything else?

PO did put SS in the tunnel. Loose clamp was at the bottom but not secured.

Plasticiness of the brake lines doesn’t give confidence. But brakes are excellent. Better than any other vintage auto I have owned. Not touching it as someone who has bleed too many a VW setup.

What is the large hole in the center for? Nothing seems to use it. Surely doesn’t provide access.
