A 100 years ago I was converted to a Bosch distributor. I have the Marelli but thought this was better performance. Am I incorrect…..enlightened me. Thanks The only reason people removed the Marelli distributors was due to the fact that cap and rotor sets were completely unavailable. But now that they are again available, the Marelli works great. Provided you don't get one that is worn out. Check where the advance weights hit the fixed plate on top of the shaft under the rotor. I had one that was so worn, there was a ridge that the advance weights would hang on. And that would keep it advanced. I found another and it was not worn out. So now the engine will come back to idle without trickery. |
