VDO Oil gage and temp sender question Options

A while back, I asked about how hot a 914 should run on a VDO gage with no numbers. Responses said, I need to look at the sender to see if it matches the gage. I had a chance to get the sender out so here it is.
After a high reving drive on a warm day, the temp went close to the red zone. Maybe a needle or twos width to the red.
Do I have a matching gage with sender?

The CHT comment related to an "under the spark plug" CHT which is an aftermarket gauge that many 914 owners have as another monitoring point. It was not related to the stock head temp sensor used for the FI control.

There are a few available but the key here is to have one that is temperature compensated. Also, the thermocouple wire (type K) should go from the thermocouple tip (located on the washer that goes under the spark) to the gauge. No copper wire should be used (like in the VDO gauge).
