I am still dealing with a small leak at my speedo gear at the back of the transmission.

I currently have the original bushing with only 1 o-ring and I have available the update version with 2 o-rings but I need to replace the seal in this one.

The problem I have is to get the seal to go in the bushing. It is a very tight fit and I already destroyed I seal trying. What is the method to get this in. Freeze the seal? Heat the bushing? Combination of both? Something else?

If you don't have a press you can fake it with a bench vise or drill press. Some lube on the seal is always good too.
