1976 914, replacing upper steering column bearing. Noticed the wiper switch has the spare tire powered windsheild washer system. Is there a conversion to replace the spare tire powered washer to electric, using the wiper lever? I know there are push button replacements. What about a lever controled washer? Hopefully a current available conversion kit. Thanks in advance, Steve

I did this kit. It was very good quality and it uses your existing stalk/lever. I just bought the switch since I already had a pump so this upgrade was dirt cheap for me. The switch mounts so when you pull back to get fluid the button is pushed and activates the pump. Wiring this in with a relay was really simple. Just make sure you have a breather hole in the cap of the washer reservoir so fluid can move. I believe there's already a hole there from a hose. Just make sure it's open/not clogged.
