A while back, I asked about how hot a 914 should run on a VDO gage with no numbers. Responses said, I need to look at the sender to see if it matches the gage. I had a chance to get the sender out so here it is.
After a high reving drive on a warm day, the temp went close to the red zone. Maybe a needle or twos width to the red. Do I have a matching gage with sender? Thanks! |

I finally got out to check for blockages in the fan area. I pushed a telescopic dental mirror down through the path and nothing there. The car is very clean since I did a rotisserie restoration over the past several years. The cars been in a garage or covered since then. I kept putting it aside whenever I got another project to do, since I could never get the FI to work correctly. I'd give up for months then start again. I recently switch to carbs so now it's drivable.
I'm considering, buying one of the laser temp gauges for this one purpose. Maybe I can use it in the future to see if my food is cook properly? Also, I have a friend that works at Porsche Marin. We were talking about 924's once and he said they had a tech that knew them very well. Maybe they have someone that knows 914s. I'll ask him. I'll update when I know something and once again, Thanks for the responses. |
