![]() The flappers Should be closed when the red lever on heater controls is all the way to drive side.... I had the air box out awhile ago and when I got ready to reinstall I (thought) that I set the rod underneath so that they closed and opened on both side at the same time. HA HA on me. One side closes and the other opens. HUMMMM no wonder I get blasted by heat no matter when the dang slider is. How to I adjust this with the cable? or that damn rod? that is a pic I grabbed from the interweb, Mine is in the car. Help Please feeling not so Hndyhrr right now. Thanks |

The dash heater controls do not control whether or not you get heat. They only control where the heat comes out of; above the dash or at your feet.
To allow or block heat from entering the cab, you use the lever that's located on top of the center tunnel to open /close the heat flapper boxes. The boxes are located right behind each long on each corner of the rear firewall. |

The heat flapper boxes work as they are suppose to. i guess my question is the flapper things inside the the air box. those should both turn in the same direction, either both open or both closed. Mine .... one side open on side closed. |
