Curious as to what you all might be doing for gearing on the autox course.
I have a 2056 with what I imagine is a stock gearbox. We autox at the Tire Rack so the course is not exceptionally big or long , but I find myself needing 3rd gear but it usually isn't enough time to warrant makin g the shift due to needing to go back down to 2nd. However it feels like I would be running at the redline in 2nd for too long as well. Is it common to experience this? Is there a longer second gear available? |

Pretty common scenario. Challenge is 2nd gear is fixed in the 901 so the remedy is an expensive one, replace the main shaft with one from the 904 with a replaceable gear so you can change your ratio.
