In Colorado, I can use a vintage plate from the year of the car. I bought this on eBay, and if you are just a bit dyslexic, you can read it as "Type 914-4".

Have this on my '71 which is currently totally apart for repaint, etc. Iowa back then had the county number (Linn county) on the left.
Love the vintage plates- though I now live in AZ I drive both 914's with my vintage plates as I'm usually driving to a C&C etc. Probably just jinxed myself but I've never been stopped. The real plate is in the rear trunk... ![]() |
