Curious as to what you all might be doing for gearing on the autox course.
I have a 2056 with what I imagine is a stock gearbox. We autox at the Tire Rack so the course is not exceptionally big or long , but I find myself needing 3rd gear but it usually isn't enough time to warrant makin g the shift due to needing to go back down to 2nd. However it feels like I would be running at the redline in 2nd for too long as well. Is it common to experience this? Is there a longer second gear available? |

Hi. I got my car at 24 and didn't know anything about gear stacks let alone have the money to do a swap. But I lived between two canyon roads so I went from a 65 series tire to a 50 series and my gearing was wonderful. Just shortened them up. Just a thought.
