I guess file this under general garage skill but Porsche-related.
67 911 and I canNOT get this split nut off to remove/rekey the glovebox lock. Pic stolen from the internet as it best shows the nut in question. I just can't find anything that will get enough "bite" Asking here rather than other 911-centric boards since we're a bit more "hands-on"... Thanks! Brian  |

They make what is called a locknut socket. There are many different sizes and depths. The linked one is probably not the right one for your application, just an example. I did a basic 3D design and printed it to get the one off our 914-6 glove box. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) |
