I know there's been a lot of talk in the past about finding a solution for these...Just got an email on these--99% sure this is the bulb that fits the US spec fog lights -- BA20S bulb

They were somewhat impossible to find before or you had to do some creative engineering to make a dual filament bulb work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I have a friend who is an engineer. He looked cmat making these and to be DOT compliant. He tested every one he could find and although some claimed to be DOT compliant they all failed several tests.
The ym main problem was light pattern.
Decided it was impossible to get correct pattern with the existing reflector and lenses.
There are TN 1 and TN 4 lenses with different pattern.
He decided theses lights are more decrotive than functional and dropped the project believing there was not a market for a DOT compliant bulb at the cost it would take to make it. Especially with cheap teeners like us. He did made DOT compliant head lamps for vintage cars. Found the same problem there. He did make them and found a big audience in the American classic car market. His lights sell for $400 a pair.
He is a teener too. Mdshantz is his screen name. Some of you may remember him.
