I have been using K&N 2004 oil filters on my 914. I have an external oil cooler with a Mocal sandwich adapter between the oil filter support and the oil filter. I purchased a Mahle OC28 oil filter. When I tried to install the filter, it was tight against the engine bar. The Mocal filter measured 96mm and the K&N measured 93mm. $10 mistake. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif)

I had to dump the Mahle filter and keep using K&N filters, anyone can figure that out! I'm not mad, just didn't realize all filters are not the same and the tolerance would that close! Why do you need pictures? It didn't fit!

Easy - (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Was just being a dumb (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bootyshake.gif) and having some fun (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Was actually a little more curious if you were trying different filters as potentially being related to whatever oil pressure drama you have going on.

Once upon a time I had oil pressure problems with Fram filters on my Miata. Too much restriction and reduced oil pressure and reduced oil flow. Not a fan of Fram.
