The posting on fuel pump failure and towing got me wondering… if the pump is up front in bottom panel, could a trap door in the frunk spare wheel well be installed to access it from above?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

I had mine underneath... steering rack area for years.
got fearful of exactly the same thing... that a side of the road repair would require me to jack the car up, be underneath... make the repair more difficult. so added the 75 blister and pump location to my 1974 for the same reason |
