Finishing up my interior and wondered how important the sound deadener is? Its pretty heavy. Do people use it, lose it or replace with a more modern lighter sound barrier.

I used Dynomat on my interior firewall. If I had a stock 6 interior pad in good condition, I would probably have added it too.
Took my wife for a ride the other day and she remarked how much quieter my car was with the 3.6. The next time the interior comes out I am going to add some additional sound deadening to the interior firewall. Why not? I am not racing the car and really do not care if it is 15 pounds heavier.
