What years was the sail panel trim painted to match the body color? as far as i can work out. 70 and 71 for sure. bumpers were the same. but thats not to say someone could have optioned chrome bumpers. but no vinyl on sail panel with say a chrome trim. i dunno enough about just what all the ins and outs were. but, broadly speaking a base trim car was body colored bumpers and targa trim. and definitely from 73 it went to black bumpers and black trim as the base spec. for both 1.7 and 2.0. no more body colored combo. as far as i am aware all 74 for USA got the vinyl and chrome targa bars, with either black bumper or chrome depending on box you ticked. no targa bar without vinyl for any of them unless it was a "can am". but in europe you could still do the targa vinyl delete with black targa trim. and i have a feeling it stayed that way for both USA and europe for 75. 72 i don't know about. whether they stayed with body color or went to black like 73. |
