76 2.0 FI, 130,000 miles, stock except for Crane Fireball electronic ignition.
Has been running flawlessly until the last week, now the idle has dropped to 4-500 rpm and stalling at lights.
-The idle screw has always affected the idle rpm, now it makes no difference how far out the screw is set.
-Removed air cleaner (has new air filter), air going directly into throttle body makes no difference to low idle.
-Valves were done a few thousand miles ago
I am taking it to my mechanic to have new spark plugs installed and remove the injectors to send in for a rebuild. I'm hoping this might affect the idle.
Any thoughts on what might account for the lack of idle all of a sudden to point my mechanic towards?

Leaving you with an over rich condition at idle.
