Was the ignition switch wired such that the warning buzzer would sound if the key was left in the ignition switch. The 911 ignition switches do for sure, how about a 914 ?

BUT, if you're looking for a chime, this won't work. Its 12v + the entire time the key's in. Meaning your chime would go off while driving around.

Which is why the OEM interlock relay is tied into the door switches for ground

Shuts the buzzer off with key in ignition and doors closed.


I’m not sure that meets Hoyland’s criteria but it is definitely the simplest to execute

That would trigger his chime relay if the key is in ignition and a door opens
