I just acquired a bunch of parts with two parts cars that I bought, including a complete early 1.7 engine (W0095475).
The engine does not turn freely by hand; I haven't tried using leverage or lubrication to see if it will free up. I'm assuming whoever might want it would just want it for the case. I'm looking for advice on setting a fair price that will move it along to someone who can make use of it. Because of size/weight my plan is to list it on CL to see if I can re-house it locally (I don't want to deal with freight shipping). Paul    |

There's some value there if the case is rebuildable. So, enough dismantling to figure out its condition would be helpful maybe.
I have a note that says for early cases, you don't want between 2009406 up to W057094. Don't have anything written down regarding why, but probably because those cases are weaker? But, this case is outside those numbers anyway. Might make a big 4 up to even 3 liters if you want. GLWTS |
