I recently posted that my friend ( an experienced mechanic) has agreed to help me drop the motor in my 74 with 1.7L (yes not original) but running motor and do a refresh..
I'm about to pull the trigger on an order to the tune of about $1400 I wanted to share it and see what other suggestions and parts we should have from the start, I'm sure we will find things we need after the motor is out but for now here is this list.. ![]() |

Thanks for the info, I want to have most of the basics covered there on site before we start, rather then take it out and see..
There will be some of that see what we need, after the motor is out. I just wanted the basics to get started. and as far as ordering from places like rock auto I'm always afraid if getting just cheap replacement parts that are either German made or are higher quality.. |
