I got my Kardex report on the Creamsicle. This report has more information than the COA from Porsche. COA from Porsche on another Creamsicle. Lots of dealer stuff not listed.

@davep and @JeffBowlsby
more of that "stuff you find". mike was working on the T4 transporter that serves as workshop runabout, as he left last night he threw this on my desk. he found it under the dash. build sheet for a 96. we translated the data on it this morning for fun over coffee. 20 years after the 914 ended a lot of the systems were still in use. including the Kenn. Nr. or "know" number - ie karmann plate number on a 914. i am wondering if the T4 got a k number tag or stamp on the body somewhere. had a look in the engine bay. nothing there. might be somewhere else. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) interesting to note that by that time VW was issueing the full Vin # on the build sheet. i'm guessing with robotics and other improvements the quality control by then meant the cars could pretty much come off the line with little retification work required so the vin could be issued even prior to production with confidence. ![]() |
